Site visit to the $150 million ASB viaduct development

ASB North-wharf is the new $150M headquarters for the ASB bank being developed by Kiwi Income Property Trust as the building owner and ASB Bank as the head tenant (approximately 18,500m squared of state of the art office space), with retail on the ground floor on Jellicoe Street, North Wharf in the Wynyard Quarter

The development comprises two buildings, 6 and 7 storey's respectively, both buildings are concrete moment frames and are linked via a series of seismically separated bridges over Te Wero Lane between them. The buildings have many unique structural features including: long span post tensioned beams; structural steel columns seismically separated bridges and a tensioned facade system. The project is due for completion mid-2013.

Fletcher Construction are the builders; Buller George Turkington are the Structural Engineers, BVN/Jasmax as Architects and Octa Associates project managers.
