Abstract
The Pacifica apartments developed by Hengyi Pacific NZ Limited are well underway and set to be one of New Zealand’s tallest buildings, towering above others in a new era of truly international, plush, high- rise residences. Soaring an impressive 178m above the city’s skyline, the 57-storey tower will bring to Auckland the kind of luxury apartment living seen in Singapore, Hong Kong, and other thriving cities around the world.
The structural system consists of cantilever in-situ concrete core walls tied to the perimeter concrete mega columns with outrigger concrete walls. The structure has also incorporated post-tensioned, cast in-situ floors supported on reinforced concrete columns and walls for gravity loads.
The construction of the Pacifica apartments is currently up to level 5 with a scheduled finishing date for the fourth quarter of 2020. The Pacifica is also destined to be one of the city’s most beautiful buildings, in one of its most desirable locations. Seconds from the vibrant, dining and luxury retail hub that is Britomart and just minutes away from the Viaduct precinct, residents of The Pacifica are set to enjoy a uniquely Auckland lifestyle and all of the benefits that entails.
