Prof. Aïtcin (University of Sherbrooke) presented examples of outstanding construction projects that used a variety of high performance concretes in order to show why the high performance concrete selected resulted in the construction of efficient, economical and sustainable structures. Selected examples include the Confederation Bridge in Canada, the Millau viaduct in France, the Burj Kalifat Tower in Dubaï, and the yet to be built Djeddah in Saudi Arabia.
