Project Summary
An extensive refurbishment of TVNZ’s national Television Centre. Stage 1 is nearing completion, Stage 2 will begin straight after and involves significant refurbishment of the newsroom and sounds recording studios.
New structures include:
• Steel framed atrium over the original central atrium.
• 3 Storey entry lobby
• Internal stairs.
• External egress stairs
• Meeting room pods
• Existing slab strengthening
Main challenges has been keeping the on air operations uninterrupted, meaning noise levels have been monitored continuously and cranage past the satellite dishes has been restricted to very short one off periods.
